For many people it’s a simple matter of cutting down portion sizes to move from bad eating to good eating. Eating whole grain bread instead of white bread, brown rice instead of white rice, and fruits instead of sugary foods are healthy changes that don’t require eating much less.

The problems arise when there is too much conflicting information about what methods of dieting and exercising should be used. Let's face it, there is no other industry that has so many methods to reach one goal, than the world of weight loss.
It is a question of having the right information and applying that information on a consistant basis. What is the correct information and where can we find it. Deep down many of us know what is going to work and what is not. Quick weight loss does not mean quality weight loss.
Sure you can lose weight quickly, but keeping that weight off is a completely different matter. You can do the cutting calories thing, and you may well lose some weight in a short time. The answer is to add weight training to your workout regime. Now there is no need to groan at this. Weight training will result in boosting your metabolism to burn calories quicker. The result is a metabolism that burns calories with far more efficiency. Apart from this your body will have far better tone than it would get from cardio alone.
